Jennifer T. Crabtree practices in the firm’s Real Estate Group representing clients in both commercial and residential transactions. Ms. Crabtree’s practice focuses on real property law and title insurability. She works closely with the firm’s title company, Guaranty Title, Inc.
Ms. Crabtree, a native of Mobile, Alabama, graduated, summa cum laude, from Samford University in 1995 with a B.A. in history. At Samford, Ms. Crabtree was awarded the President’s Cup and was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In 1999, Ms. Crabtree graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law. While earning her Juris Doctorate, Ms. Crabtree served as Managing Editor of The Journal of the Legal Profession, was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society, and served as a law clerk for Rosen Harwood, P.A.
After law school, Ms. Crabtree served as Staff Attorney to Associate Justice Harold F. See of the Supreme Court of Alabama. Ms. Crabtree went on to serve as General Counsel for Jefferson Title Corporation in Birmingham, Alabama. Before joining Rosen Harwood, Ms. Crabtree was Vice President, Claims Counsel and Associate State Counsel for Mississippi Valley Title Insurance Company and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. In that role, she supervised and advised attorney agents regarding title insurance issuance and underwriting guidelines; evaluated, administered and resolved title insurance claims; and coordinated litigation with outside counsel.
Ms. Crabtree is a Licensed Title Insurance Agent. She is also a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association, the American Land Title Association, and the Southeast Land Title Association.
Publications & Presentations
Ms. Crabtree has spoken to various groups on topics including Title Insurance Claims and Analysis, Title Insurance Underwriting, and the enactment of the Integrated Mortgage Disclosures under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and the Truth in Lending Act.
