Clients and Business Partners of Rosen Harwood:

At Rosen Harwood, the health and safety of our employees, our clients, and our business partners is a top priority.  The firm is still open and working to assist our clients with their legal matters, but we are changing our policies and procedures in adherence to the most current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the Alabama Department of Public Health to protect against the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

In order to limit, as much as possible, person to person contact, we are attempting to handle all meetings via teleconference and transmittal of documents via email.  Of course, there are instances where in-person meetings are required and original documents must be exchanged.  In order to address the concerns raised by in person meetings we are taking the following steps:

  1. We request that if any party coming to our office for any meeting or closing shows symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to COVID-19, that the party first contact our office so that we can make special arrangements.
  2. We will be frequently sanitizing public areas of the office and any place in the office that comes in contact with our staff or visitors with cleaning supplies recommended by public health authorities.
  3. We have hand sanitizer distributed throughout our offices for use by staff and guests.  Staff are being encouraged to frequently wash their hands.
  4. We have curtailed travel by our attorneys and staff as much as possible, including the number of errands our firm’s runners are taking each day.
  5. Once again, we are making a concerted effort to limit the amount of in person contact by encouraging our attorneys, staff, clients, and business partners, and looking to find ways to conduct business remotely.

We will continue to monitor and implement the guidance available from the Centers for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov) and Alabama Department of Public Health (http://www.alabamapublichealth.gov).

Progress on client matters will be impacted by the response of government, businesses, and the public to the COVID-19 outbreak.  As an example, the Alabama Supreme Court entered an order March 13, 2020, continuing all in-person proceedings in all courts (including probate and municipal courts) until April 16, 2020.

We will be diligent in maintaining the appropriate balance between client safety and our mission to provide you with the legal services you need.  Please contact the attorneys working on your matter with specific questions about that matter or generally about out firm operations during this time.

Thank you for continuing to trust our firm to provide you with legal assistance.
